President-Elect Donald Trump announced Sunday that personal lawyer Alina Habba will serve as counselor to the president in his upcoming second term.
Trump said in a Truth Social post that Habba had shown “unwavering loyalty” as part of Trump’s legal team across several criminal and civil trials, and called her a “tireless advocate for justice.”
The 40-year old Habba earned her law degree in 2010 from Widener University, in Pennsylvania.
She was an attorney for Trump in the defamation lawsuit brought against her client in New York City by advice columnist E. Jean Carroll.
