THIS is the horrifying moment a mother died after falling from a fast-moving bus when a window suddenly gave way.

Grainy CCTV footage shows Renata Yassu Nakama, 26, leaning against the window as the vehicle travels along its route.

The bus appears packed with passengers, many standing shoulder to shoulder.

At one point, Renata lets go of the railing and leans backwards.

As the bus veers around a bend, the window suddenly pops out of its frame.

With nothing to hold her in place, the mother-of-two falls backwards out of the moving vehicle.

According to reports, Renata tumbled onto the road and hit her head on the ground.

Realising something had gone terribly wrong, the driver immediately slammed on the brakes and brought the bus to a halt.

Incredibly, Renata was able to stand up in the moments after the fall.

She was then rushed to hospital where she succumbed to her wounds three days later.

The tragic incident happened in São Sebastião, Brazil, on January 2.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, her devastated parents have been left to care for her two young children.

Her father, Sérgio Yassu Nakama, is now calling on both the local council and public transport company Sancetur to provide support for the family.

“They’re two children without a mother who need psychological support,” he told local media.

“Sometimes they withdraw and stay quiet, and we don’t really know what they’re feeling.

“But we still cannot afford these costs.”

In February, a court ruling ordered the council and Sancetur to pay the family a monthly allowance equivalent to 2.4 times the minimum wage.

However, according to the family’s lawyers, the order has yet to be enforced – although Sancetur claims it has already transferred the payment to the court.

At the time of the accident, the bus driver told police that the victim had been standing in “a space not intended for passengers”.

He also said the bus was carrying 77 passengers, which he insisted was within the legal limit.

Again, the family’s lawyers took issue with this.

Lawyer Gabriella Prado said: “The driver saw her heading there, didn’t stop her, continued the journey, and midway through the route she was ejected due to a structural failure.”

The incident remains under investigation.
