Topanga Canyon Boulevard/ State Route 27 reopened to the public Friday morning after a closure due to the Palisades Fire.
The boulevard reopened to the public at 8 a.m. on Friday from Pacific Coast Highway to Grand View Drive.
However, due to ongoing work, the stretch of the canyon will be open during limited daytime hours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with traffic controls and one-way directional flagging between postmile markers 2.3 and 2.7
Topanga Canyon Boulevard has been closed since the January fires and sustained significant damage from the February storms.
City officials also urge travelers to avoid stopping in burn areas and to respect local residents still recovering from the fire.
