Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson hilariously stormed out of the SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert on Friday during a moment that has since gone viral.
The Forrest Gump actor, 68 – who made an appearance on the sketch comedy series late last year – has notably hosted Saturday Night Live a whopping 10 tens times, and became a member of the Five-Timers Club.
The celebration took place at the iconic Radio City Music Hall on Valentine’s Day, with a number of stars in attendance such as Pete Davidson, Adam Sandler, Scarlett Johansson, Pedro Pascal and Anya Taylor-Joy.
At one point during the event, host Jimmy Fallon shared the disclaimer that no awards would be given out during the night – which didn’t sit too well with Hanks and Wilson.
‘Apparently, there’s been some confusion,’ the talk show host said in video posted by Deadline. ‘This is just a concert. We’re not giving out any awards tonight. So I just want to make sure that everyone knows that.’
Directly behind Fallon, the camera panned to show the actor and his wife stand up and begin to walk out of the theater in a humorous bit.

Rita was also seen jokingly shaking her finger towards Jimmy as she held hands with Hanks.
The host turned around and called out for the couple as the live audience erupted into laughter at what appeared to be a planned skit.
‘Tom? Rita?’ Fallon called out while sending a look of confusion towards the camera. ‘We lost Tom Hanks and Rita. Sorry. It wasn’t their fault.’
The brief comedic bit came natural to Tom who is no stranger to stepping onto the SNL stage over the years.
He first hosted the sketch comedy series back in 1985 during the show’s 11th season when he was 29-years-old.
In Peacock’s SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night docuseries, the award-winning actor reflected on his first hosting gig on SNL and labeled it ‘the single most exciting thing that has happened in my career,’ per NBC.
He was also the first host to be able to join the writer’s room and said, ‘The fact that they just put their head down and plowed through it was actually a bit of a life lesson for me.’
‘Don’t read the bad reviews because someone out there is just going to hate your guts.’

The Sleepless In Seattle star further added, ‘The cliché of saying it was a dream come true doesn’t do it justice. It’s a fantasy made real.’
In 1990, Tom was officially inducted into the Five-Timers Club – and has made numerous cameos in other episodes.
Late last year in December, he appeared in a sketch for a Christmas special with host Martin Short.
Along with Hanks and Wilson attending the anniversary concert on Friday, stars also gave memorable performances such as Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and Cher.
And the A-list crowd, which included Molly Shannon, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan and Will Ferrell, cheered on the music artists.
Cyrus sang her hit single, Flowers, which won Record of the Year at the 2024 Grammy Awards, she looked into the audience and gave a few shout-outs to some familiar faces.
After belting out the chorus, she crouched down on stage and exclaimed: ‘I love you Paul Rudd! As the cameras panned to Rudd, he looked flattered and blew her a kiss.
The Disney Channel alum went on to look into the crowd, before playfully calling out to her ‘buddy’ Adam Sandler and rapper, Jelly Roll.

Sandler – who was dancing next to his wife Jackie – smiled as he stood up and enthusiastically clapped along during Cyrus’ performance.
At one point, she paused, and asked: ‘Are y’all doing that Grammys thing where you guys are famous and s**t and you don’t sing along, excuse my language?’
Anya Taylor-Joy and Pedro Pascal were also seen singing along and busting a move to the undeniably catchy tune.
Scarlett Johansson also looked blown away by Cyrus as she watched from her seat, next to husband Colin Jost, and shimmed.
After concluding her song, the Hannah Montana took a bow and gushed: ‘I love you, [SNL creator] Lorne Michaels!’
Cyrus also shared the stage with Brittany Howard as they covered Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga kicked off her performance with her hit, Shallow, with Andy Samberg.
After beginning the track on the piano, with Gaga playing the piano as Samberg botched the opening of the song, the 14-time Grammy winner stopped the actor from singing.
