EXCLUSIVE: Penelope Ann Miller (Carlito’s Way), Paul Ben-Victor (The Wire), Greer Grammer (Awkward) and Kahyun Kim (St. Denis Medical) are among new additions to The Twelve Dates of Christmas, the holiday romantic comedy on which we recently were first to report.
Others newly aboard include Demetrius Shipp Jr. (All Eyez on Me), Carter Jenkins (Valentine’s Day), Leonidus Gulaptis (A Nice Girl Like You), and Zack Pearlman (The Intern). As previously announced, Lucy Hale and Ian Harding lead the cast of the film from Latigo Films, BuzzFeed Studios, Applewood Studios, CaliWood Pictures and Fortitude International, in a Pretty Little Liars reunion.
The Twelve Dates of Christmas follows Christina Walker (Hale), a successful shop owner who has devoted her energy to her career at the expense of her dating life. As she finds herself single while watching her younger siblings marry ahead of her, Christina makes a promise to herself: to go on 12 dates in the 12 weeks leading up to Christmas in hopes of finding “Mr. Right.” Along the way, she navigates the often complicated and unpredictable world of online dating, discovering unexpected connections, personal growth, and the true meaning of the season.
David Lipper is directing from a script written with Seth Howard. Lipper is also producing alongside Robert A. Daly Jr. under their Latigo Films banner, along with Ryan Winterstern of Applewood Studios, in collaboration with BuzzFeed Studios, led by Richard Alan Reid and Michael Philip. Executive producers include Jarod Einsohn, Jenkins, Casey James, Seth Howard, Jeff Kranzdorf, Tim Alek Mully, R. Wesley Sierk III, Audra Gricius, Jina Panebianco and John D. Straley of CaliWood Pictures and Nadine De Barros of Fortitude International, which is handling international sales out of EFM.
