Assistant Editor Clemmie Moodie landed the Showbusiness Journalist of the Year award after a string of celebrity scoops.

She revealed Gary Lineker had quit Match of the Day and first lifted the lid on Gregg Wallace’s misconduct on BBC’s MasterChef.

Judges said Stephen had a “phenomenal year”.

They hailed his “old-school tabloid journalism” and “agenda-setting public interest scoops”.

Stephen dedicated his win to The Sun’s reporters who “consistently bring in big exclusives and create great papers and online content”.

The judges also praised Clemmie for a “string of scoops that set the news agenda, and kept competitors on their toes”.

The Sun’s Editor-in- Chief Victoria Newton said: “Congratulations to both Clemmie Moodie and Stephen Moyes, our brilliant Sun journalists.

“They have won for their rigorous public interest and agenda-setting journalism and exclusive scoops that set the national conversation alight.”
