The Beach Boys are back in the top 40 for the first time in over a decade after the recent death of the band’s co-founder Brian Wilson.

Billboard reports that the band’s greatest hits album, “Songs of Summer,” jumped 38 spots on the charts. They jumped from 52 to 14 on the June 28-dated chart.

The album was released in 2003 and debuted and peaked at No. 16 on the June 28, 2003-dated chart. However, 22 years later, it beat that by climbing to No. 14.

The last time the California crooners were on the top 40 of the Billboard 200 chart was in 2012 when their album “That’s Why God Made the Radio” debuted and peaked at No. 3 and “spent four nonconsecutive weeks inside the top 40.”

The Beach Boys have 56 albums on the Billboard 200, 22 were in the top 40.

Earlier this month, Wilson passed away at 82 following a dementia diagnosis last year. His cause of death was revealed on June 26.

According to People and TMZ, the latter of which obtained Wilson’s death certificate, the musical legend died of “respiratory arrest.” Sepsis and cystitis were also listed on the death certificate, as well as associated factors of neurodegenerative disorder, obstructive sleep apnea, chronic respiratory failure and chronic kidney disease.
