THIS is the terrifying moment a street racer smashes into a crowded bar killing four people after a high-speed police chase.
Silas Sampson, 22, is accused of crashing into dozens of revellers after recklessly driving through 7th Avenue in Florida.
Footage shows police chasing the suspect down a busy I-275 around 12:30am on Saturday.
Cops attempted to stop the dangerous driving by pulling off a PIT maneuver by tactically making contact with the back of the car.
Helicopter footage of the chase shows the moment the two cars collide with the police officer smashing into the rear bumper of Sampson.
His silver motor was left badly damaged as he spun out momentarily before managing to keep on the road.
Footage shows the car then speeding off – leaving the officer trailing behind.
Seconds later, the video cuts to CCTV footage of a bustling 7th Avenue.
As a white car turns a corner, Sampson’s silver motor whizzes past an intersection.
The car ends up barreling in a straight line towards local gay bar, Bradley’s.
Several people can be seen on the sidewalk with dozens sat on the patio outside the bar as the car smashes into them.
Three people were pronounced dead at the scene with a fourth later dying in hospital from their injuries.
At least 13 others were injured with two still in critical condition, Tampa Police confirmed.
All the victims were adults, according to authorities.
Sampson was arrested at the scene by police just before 1am.
He was later charged with four counts of vehicular homicide and four counts of aggravated fleeing to elude serious bodily injury or death, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) records.
Pictures of the suspect’s silver car showed it was left smashed up with debris strewn across the street.
Witness Howard Hopkins told FOX 13 Tampa Bay that the car hit a curb before ploughing into the bar.
He added: “Tables went everywhere, chairs went everywhere, bodies went everywhere – it was pretty bad.”
Bradley Nelson, owner of Bradley’s bar, paid tribute to the victims as he called the crash “horrific”.
Out of respect for those who died, the bar will remain closed until Monday, Nelson said.
Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw said at a press conference: “What happened this morning was a senseless tragedy.
“Our hearts are with the loved ones of the victims and all those who were impacted.
“Reckless driving put innocent lives in danger.”
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
