Welcome to The Blueprint, where we break down the celebrity looks we want to wear right now and build them back up, piece by piece.
Taylor Swift is “back in the office… 😎” and I, for one, have mixed emotions.
I’m more than sad that I didn’t get to see the singer in person during The Eras Tour, but her cute cat (Hey, Olivia Benson!) and comfy topper sort of made up for it. Or at least, they were a nice bright spot.
In an Instagram post before her next tour stop in Miami, Swift wore a $168 Polo Ralph Lauren pullover that was quite a rarity. The sweater — no, sweatshirt — er, hybrid of the two — had a mock neck-like detail that prettied up the look more than a casual hoodie would have. But the material, ribbed cuffs, and bunched-in hem were standard traits of the latter.
She also was wearing a $200 pair of baggy Icon Denim jeans, a style Katie Holmes and Jessica Alba are steering toward, and a pair of block heels she seemed to have no problem walking around the stadium in. Below, we found similar options for all three styles, so if you, like me, didn’t make it to The Eras Tour, can join in on the fun.

Trendy Queen Oversized Turtleneck Pullover
Since Taylor’s Polo Ralph Lauren sweatshirt promptly sold out, I found this Amazon style that has “a mock neck that isn’t tight and constricting yet feels cozy and warm,” according to one shopper. It’s also not logomania in any way — I don’t see a single one.
Old Navy High-Waisted OG Loose Jeans
If I’m going to wear jeans, they’ve got to be more relaxed than rigid, as I simply refuse to wear bottoms that pinch and squeeze me. I do still want some semblance of a shape though, so wide-leg jeans à la Swift or baggier straight-leg jeans like these is a blessing. They have “medium stretch,” per the brand, so they shouldn’t sag in an unflattering way, and they’re made from cotton, a durable material, so the washing machine won’t rip them to shreds after a few weeks.

Miami weather is warmer than, say, New York City. So, while Swift’s strappy block heels were so cool (and similar to these), I might want a closed-toe pair of boots or slightly warmer mules for frostier fall weather. But overall, I think my biggest takeaway is that my footwear needs a block heel. Sure, the “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” singer is used to “stilettos for miles,” but I never will be. I need a chunkier heel with more surface area — plus, they’re more comfortable that way.
