Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may be newly engaged, but the couple have reportedly not started planning their wedding just yet.
The 35-year-old singer announced the happy news on August 26, sharing a series of sweet photos from Kelce’s proposal in his home garden in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
But while the engagement has fans buzzing, sources say the pair are still in celebration mode and haven’t begun mapping out their nuptials.
‘Taylor and Travis have been in celebration mode ever since the engagement,’ a source told People. ‘They are not in the wedding planning phase yet. Right now, they just want to enjoy being engaged, and they are going to take their time with it.’
The insider added that it has been ‘a relief’ for the couple to no longer keep their engagement under wraps. ‘They are glad it is out in the open.’
Swift confirmed she had accepted the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s proposal nearly two years after they first went public with their romance in September 2023.

In her announcement, the Shake It Off hitmaker posted a carousel of loved-up snaps alongside the playful caption: ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.’
Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, revealed his son popped the question almost two weeks earlier during an intimate moment in his garden, which had been decorated with flowers for the occasion.
‘They were going out to dinner and she was ready to go, and he said, ‘Let’s go out in the garden on the patio and have a glass of wine before we go,’ Ed recalled on The Jimmy and Nath Show with Emma podcast. ‘I think she knew something was up because as they walked out there, she could see, suddenly, there were a lot more flowers out there.’
‘These are two young people madly in love with each other, and I think this is great,’ he added.
Meanwhile, Travis’ mom Donna, 72, has already begun collecting keepsakes from the special moment.
‘Donna is already saving little things from this time like photos, notes, and flowers,’ a source told People. ‘She is very sentimental about it. She wants to remember every detail, so she has been holding onto mementos from their first days as an engaged couple.’
Taylor announced their engagement on Tuesday, two weeks after a secret proposal.

The Grammy winner also revealed her mammoth diamond engagement ring in the post – the stunning band is an Old Mine Brilliant Cut and appears to be from Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry. It is worth an estimated $675,000 to $1 million.
The star shared the post on her Instagram, set to ballad So High School, which is about her enduring love for Kelce.
The couple went public with their relationship in September 2023 when the singer appeared alongside Travis’ mother, Donna, at a Kansas City Chiefs game.
Since that day their romance has captivated the world, with Taylor supporting Travis’ run to two Super Bowls while the NFL star has traveled alongside her around the globe on her wildly successful Eras tour.
The sports star’s close friend Patrick Mahomes was quick to congratulate the couple, sharing Taylor’s post on Instagram with three heart emojis.
