Amid the rainstorms soaking Southern California, an SUV ended up in a wash in the North Hills area of Los Angeles Thursday afternoon.
The vehicle, which appeared to be a Kia Soul or a similar type of vehicle, was partially submerged in the rushing water near Parthenia Street and Noble Avenue at about 12:40 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a news alert.
The vehicle could be seen tilted slightly onto its side and resting against the entrance to a culvert. The water level was at about the bottom of the doors’ windows.
As of 1:30 p.m., it was not immediately clear if anyone was trapped inside the vehicle or had been rescued.
