LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – A female suspected of carjacking a vehicle before leading police on a high-speed chase has been taken into custody Monday evening.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division initiated the pursuit and later turned it over to California Highway Patrol as moved onto the freeway.
The female suspect was clocked at speeds well over a 100 miles an hour on the 105 Freeway before eventually exiting at Hawthorne Boulevard in Lawndale and pulling over.

The woman exited the vehicle and began yelling at officers before surrendering.
