A high-speed chase involving a silver Toyota Camry ended with a serious crash in Los Angeles early Saturday morning.
The pursuit started around 2:45 a.m. near Pacific and 3rd Street in San Pedro, with the driver wanted for reckless driving, according to the LAPD.
The chase wound through multiple neighborhoods, finally coming to a dramatic end near 115th and Figueroa Street in the Vermont Vista area at about 3:10 a.m.
Security camera video shows the suspect crash into a light pole and gate and end up on the front steps of a home.
The driver was taken into custody after being rescued from the smoking vehicle.
L.A. firefighters checked the suspect for injuries and determined he didn’t need to be transported to a hospital.
Police said burglary tools were found inside the car.
