A suspect was arrested after a 15-year-old boy was fatally shot in La Habra.
On Feb. 22, La Habra police responded to reports of a shooting on the 700 block of East Lambert Road at around 12:20 a.m.
Arriving officers found the teenager lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Homicide investigators later identified Michael Sanchez, 44, as a suspect in the teen’s death.
On March 6, Sanchez was taken into custody and charged with murder with a gang enhancement.
The victim’s identity was not released due to his juvenile status. The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
