Aaron Pierre is the latest to join the DC Studios pic Man of Tomorrow, the sequel to the hit 2025 pic Superman. James Gunn is back writing and directing, with David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult expected to return as Superman/Clark Kent and Lex Luthor, respectively. The pic opens on July 9, 2027.
DC Studios could not be reached for comment.
This latest film sees Superman and Luthor team up to fight the technological alien threat known as Brainiac. Lars Eidinger will play the role of Brainiac.
Rachel Brosnahan Skyler Gisondo and Sara Sampaio are among those reprising their roles from last film. Production is scheduled to begin April in Atlanta and go into the summer.
For Pierre this marks is second DC Studios job as he is set to star in the Green Lanterns series, Lanterns, later this summer on HBO. He also has the Star Wars pic, Star Wars: Starfighter, bowing next summer.
