NBC is giving its cheerleading comedy Stumble some extra exposure, with a special telecast on Friday, Feb. 20 at 10:30 PM, immediately following that evening’s coverage of the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.

In an effort to add more momentum to the series, since Jan. 5, NBC has been airing episodes of its freshman comedy in the Monday at 8:30 p.m. time slot, replacing The Paper, which ended its linear run early. Stumble airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m., with encores on Mondays at 8:30 p.m.

To date, the Stumble pilot is up to 10.2 million viewers across all platforms, according to NBC.

Stumble is a mockumentary about the ridiculously high stakes competitive world of junior college cheer.

The single-cam comedy centers on Courteney Potter (Jenn Lyon) who is determined to rally her newly recruited junior college cheer squad to win her record-breaking 15th championship and improve their lives along the way.

Taran Killam, Ryan Pinkston, Jarrett Austin Brown, Anissa Borrego, Arianna Davis, Taylor Dunbar, Georgie Murphy also star. Kristin Chenoweth recurs.

Stumble is written by veteran comedy showrunners Liz and Jeff Astrof, in the sibling duo’s first team-up to create a series together.

Liz Astrof and Jeff Astrof executive produce alongside cheerleading coach Monica Aldama, known for her appearance on the Netflix docuseries Cheer, and producer Dana Honor through her Defining Eve Productions. Jeff Blitz directed and executive produced the pilot only. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.
