Nick Knowles has sparked fears he may withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing 2024, after suffering a nasty arm injury that left him in a sling.
The DIY SOS star, 62, made his debut on the BBC show on Monday alongside his professional partner Luba Mushtuk.
However, as he prepared to resume training for his second dance, Nick shared with his Instagram followers that he had injured his arm and shoulder while changing a tyre on his car, after breaking down at the side of the road.
In a video shared on Monday, Nick said that he was heading to Harley Street clinic to undergo a scan and hoped to update fans on the state of his injury ahead of his appearance on It Takes Two that evening.
But he vowed that ‘nothing was going to stop him dancing’ ahead of the second live show this weekend.

Sharing a video of his arm wrapped in a sling, Nick said: ‘I thought I’d give a little update. I’ve got a sling, and that’s because my car broke down at the side of the motorway.
‘My little boy in the car, so I wanted to change the tyre as quickly as I could, to make sure we were safe.
‘And in the process of hurrying to get the wheel off, as quickly as I possibly could because there was a big wheel on my big car, I managed to damage my shoulder and arm a little bit.
‘I’m not quite sure how or what, but it’s been quite painful. Although a little better this morning, so I’m on my way up to London to Harley St to get a scan done, and to get some top medical advice, but I’m on my way to training afterwards so I can learn the steps of my next dance.
‘And I’ll see you on It Takes Two a bit later today, where hopefully I’ll have more information and be able to update you, but I’ll keep you posted during hte course of the day anyway. Not ideal, but I’m convinced nothing is going to stop me from dancing this weekend.’
During his first Strictly appearance Nick and Luba scored 18 points for their jive, danced to We Built This City by Starship.
Nick stayed true to his roots for his jive to We Built This City sporting a sparkly orange reflective vest – before ending it with a disco ball-esque builders hard hat.
‘You’re as delighted as I am that that came off the way it did, aren’t you?’ Anton said to Nick after the dance ended.

Nick was left red faced as the cast sang him Happy Birthday and presented him with a cake – before professional dancer Carlos smooshed the cake in his face.
The DIY SOS star shared his worries about performing live but insisted he hopes he does better than people expect.
‘That’s easy,’ Luba replied as she reassured her partner. Nick said: ‘Well then I’ll be very happy.’
Strictly has also reportedly been hit with yet another blow after its first live episode of the latest series saw ratings plummet to their lowest in the show’s 20-year history.
Following last week’s pre-recorded launch, The Sun reported that Saturday’s episode saw a peak of 6.7million viewers, down from 7.3million for the same episode last year and 10.2million in 2020.
The show has found itself embroiled in controversy over how the professional dancers teach the celebs, with multiple accusations emerging of bullying and abusive behaviour.
A source told the publication that after bosses were fretting after already being ‘worried’ following the pre-recorded show losing nearly a million viewers on the previous year.
Saying: ‘The fact that the first live show saw a drop too will be of concern to them — particularly if the drop continues into next week, which is the first elimination show.
‘They now face an anxious wait to see whether the drop in on-the-night viewers is made up for by an increase in fans watching Strictly on iPlayer, but those figures take days and weeks to compile.
