Nick Knowles became the third star to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing after he and Luba Mushtuk lost the dance-off to Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu.
Both couples performed their routines again; Shayne and Nancy performed their Cha Cha to Ain’t No Love (Ain’t No Use) by Sub Sub feat. Melanie Williams.
Then, Nick and Luba performed their Charleston to Rain on the Roof from the film Paddington 2.
However, despite narrowly making it back into the competition as he recovered from a shoulder and knee injury, Nick, 62, was soon sent home by all four judges – Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke.
When asked by Tess about their time on the show, Nick said: ‘I’ve really, really been surprised by how much I’ve loved doing it and by two things that happen.’

He explained: ‘One is how much you care each week, and the other is how much you don’t want to let down your partner.
‘The only reason I could do this is simply because of Luba’s changes, she’s been amazing.’
Luba said: ‘I’ve never met someone as determined as you, and I remember you saying that if you do your best, you’ll be very happy. I think you did more than your best. Thank you.’
When asked by Tess about his partner Luba, Nick shared: ‘Luba’s been amazing and just been so fabulous every day.
‘And I should say thank you also to all the background staff, the physios, all the people that have actually got me through this week, and to all of my fellow competitors who have been absolutely astounding, beautiful people.
‘There are some amazing dancers up there, and I will love watching the rest of the series.’

Nick told the judges that it was right he was in the dance off because he wasn’t up to scratch
The presenter told the judges that there were some fantastic dancers and he wasn’t one of them but that he had tried his hardest
After Nick was announced as one of the dancer’s performing again for his place, he told Tess that it was the right decision for him to dance again.
He told the host: ‘Its kind of right.
‘There are some fantastic dancers here and I wasn’t up to scratch for whatever reason.’
Craig Revel-Horwood then gave Craig some advance ahead of his second performance.
He told the DIY SOS star to not care about the dance and throw himself in to it.
He said: ‘ You just need to work on the ideas in a more extreme fashion.
‘Don’t really care about the dance – the Charleston is like that, just throw yourself in to it.’
Nick agreed before adding it was crunch time, telling Tess it was a case of ‘go well or go home’ before adding he would try to throw himself in to his performance.

Craig told the TV presenter it was the best he’d seen him perform, saying: ‘You totally threw caution tot he wind and that’s the best I’ve seen you dance.’
But despite Nick’s performance it wasn’t enough to save him.
Craig told Tess that he wanted to save Shayne and Nancy before complimenting the TV presenter, telling him: ‘You totally threw caution tot he wind and that’s the best I’ve seen you dance.’
Anton Du Beke echoed Craig’s evaluation, telling the reality show presenter that both couples upped their game in the final moment and that it was one of Nick’s best performances.
But it was the end of the road for Nick’s tumultuous time on the show and during his final dance with Luba, the other stars took to the floor to say goodbye.
The whirlwind results show also featured a special routine from our fabulous professional dancers to Taylor Swift’s ‘Wildest Dreams’, choreographed by Mandy Moore and starring Nikita Kuzmin and Karen Hauer as the leads.
There was also a performance of ‘Everything’s Here’ and ‘Nothing’s Lost’ from Snow Patrol.

Nick’s elimination comes after he was unsure whether he would be able to dance at all following an injury that forced him to pull out of Movie Week last week
The remaining 12 couples will take to the dancefloor next week when ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns on Saturday 19 October, with the results show on Sunday 20 October on BBC One.
Both of this weekend’s episodes are available to watch now via BBC iPlayer.
Nick and Luba will be joining Fleur East and Janette Manrara for their first exclusive televised interview live on ‘Strictly: It Takes Two’ on Monday 14 October at 6,30pm on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
Nick was told on Friday by medics that he would be able take to the floor on Saturday to dance again, one week after the injury forced him to pull out of Movie Week.
Breaking his silence, Nick took to Instagram with the positive news he will be back on Saturday night as he admitted he missed being absent last week and has well and truly caught the dancing bug.
He began: ‘Hello everyone. Well I watched last week show feeling so sad that I wasn’t there. Of course I loved cheering on everyone else but I really missed it. I missed being part of it.
‘When I signed up to Strictly I never thought for a moment that I would love dancing they way that I do and I well and truly have caught the dancing bug so I am absolutely delighted to be back tomorrow.’
Thanking his support system he added: ‘I am so grateful to all the physios and the medical team at the BBC for getting me back on my feet. See you tomorrow night.’
A BBC Spokesperson also said: ‘We are all delighted that Nick Knowles and Luba Mushtuk will be dancing in this Saturday’s show. Nick has been cleared to dance by the medical and physio teams following his injury last week.
‘Due to time taken out of training this week, they will be performing their Movies Week Charleston to Rain On The Roof from Paddington 2.’
Meanwhile Fleur East broke the news during It Takes Two on Friday as she confirmed to fans: ‘Nick Knowles and Luba will dance again on Saturday, we will finally get to see his Charleston.’
He returned to rehearsals on Wednesday and was preparing to perform the dance with his pro partner Luba.
Sunday’s Results Show also featured a special routine from the professional dancers to Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams, choreographed by Mandy Moore and starring Nikita Kuzmin and Karen Hauer as the leads.
There was also a musical performance of Everything’s Here and Nothing’s Lost from Snow Patrol.
