Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Grifols SA (BME:), which rose 0.80% or 0.08 points to trade at 9.79 at the close. Meanwhile, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:) added 0.53% or 0.02 points to end at 3.60 and Redeia Corporacion SA (BME:) was up 0.30% or 0.05 points to 16.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Santander (BME:), which fell 4.53% or 0.21 points to trade at 4.46 at the close. Unicaja Banco SA (BME:) declined 3.38% or 0.04 points to end at 1.23 and Indra A (BME:) was down 2.98% or 0.51 points to 16.61.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 137 to 51 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 0.53% or 0.02 to 3.60.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.52% or 13.94 to $2,656.06 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.06% or 1.46 to hit $69.25 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.41% or 1.04 to trade at $72.87 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.30% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 106.48.
