Skye Wheatley has confirmed she has separated from her partner of six years Lachlan Waugh.
On Tuesday, the Gold Coast-based mum-of-two explained the reason Lachy has not appeared in her recent Q&A videos is because they’ve decided to take time apart.
‘Honestly not much to report. We just have a lil re-set break from time, it’s good,’ she told her fans.
The former reality star has previously spoken at length about the couple’s struggles and admitted they have recently been going to counselling.
She said that 2024 is all about achieving goals, a journey which includes addressing the challenges in her relationship with Lachlan.
‘Lockie and I went to a counselling session yesterday,’ Skye said.
The session, initially intended as occupational therapy for their son Forrest, five, turned into a much-needed intervention for the couple.
Skye’s realised their son’s behaviour could be influenced by their relationship dynamics and it prompted her to take action.

She also reflected on past counselling experiences, contrasting them with their current therapy.
‘Let’s start with the parents because we’re broken,’ she said.
She emphasised the importance of tackling their issues head-on for the better of their family.

Skye first hinted their was trouble in paradise back in February last year, revealing she and Lachlan are ‘on a break’ and ‘co-parenting’ their two children.
The former reality star told her 315,700 TikTok followers they agreed she would look after their sons for two nights.

Lachlan would take them for the next two nights, and so on.
However, the arrangement didn’t last and Lachlan asked Skye to ‘come home’ so they could parent their boys together.
‘So, there’s a bit of confusion around a couple of my last posts when I’m talking about co-parenting with Lachy,’ she said at the time.
‘Basically, we trialed co-parenting. So I would have the kids two nights then he would have the kids two nights. And then, yeah, two nights on, two nights off.’
Skye said Lachy pleaded with her to ‘come home’ soon into their co-parenting experiment.
‘After a little bit of doing that, and he was like, ‘Okay, you can come home now,” she said.
‘Because, yeah, obviously, I don’t think he liked it. We like being together as a family. But I feel like for us, we just needed a break. Just a little break.
‘Obviously I didn’t want to be away from the kids for as long as we were away from each other. So we just co-parented for the period of the break. Hopefully that makes sense.’
