Simone Biles is marking the start of the NFL regular season with a sweet message to her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens.
With only six days left until the Bears face off against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Sept. 8, Biles, 27, shared an Instagram Stories tribute to the NFL star, writing, “see you in a few weeks 🤍🤧.”
The gymnast posted the message next to two Polaroid photos of her and her husband, 29, posing in front of a light blue wall.
He reciprocated the love by sharing the post on his Instagram account, adding “❤️🤞🏽.”
While it has been almost a month since Biles ended her historic run at the 2024 Paris Olympics, earning four medals and becoming the most decorated U.S. gymnast in Olympic history, her schedule will pick up again with her participation in the Gold Over America Tour.
The tour, scheduled to begin on Monday, Sept. 16 in Oceanside, Calif., will feature Biles and an array of other gymnasts like Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Hezly Rivera, performing “jaw-dropping athleticism and high-energy choreography with an inspirational message of hope, strength, resilience, and determination,” per its website.
While it is scheduled to end on Sunday, Nov. 3, it will keep Biles booked and busy throughout the first few weeks of the NFL season.
She and her husband, however, are no strangers to a long-distance romance.

Last September, Biles shared during an interview with Hoda Kotb on the Today Show that they “started long-distance less than a week” after their May 2023 destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas — their second wedding after legally tying the knot that April — due to Owens signing with his previous team, the Green Bay Packers.
“Right after Cabo, he went to Green Bay and signed, and two days later, he was up there, so it’s been different,” she said. “At least we’re both busy and focusing on our respective sports. It’s been nice.”
Being each other’s biggest “cheerleader” is something Owens told PEOPLE in July he loves.

“I love watching [it] from an athlete’s perspective because that’s how you’d be great in any sport, is just being consistent and doing the same thing consistently good every day,” he said. “You know what I mean? I love to watch it and I love to be out there and be a cheerleader.”
