THIS is the shocking moment a Thanksgiving party is plunged into chaos after a huge table of food suddenly comes crashing down.
A fully-loaded spread of cooked meats and vegetables as well as cutlery and glass decorations was transformed into a terrible mess on the ground.
Footage captured a pre-dinner speech in New Jersey being made from a young family member in front of her gleeful loved ones.
Both the old and young watch on in anticipation as the smell of the Thanksgiving food wafts through the room.
Within a split second, the legs on the table behind the woman appear to snap.
The dozens of plates and glass vases quickly begin to slide down the table which is now sat on its side – dumping the entire spread onto the carpeted floor.
Shocked members of the family stand frozen as they take in the calamitous scene.
Gasps and screams then erupt as the recording cuts off.
Kat Hovnanian, who filmed the disaster, told the Daily Mail: “Auntie Siran spent weeks preparing and cooking but she was an absolute champ about it.”
Kat noted that the collapse was not caused by clumsiness or sabotage, just by too much weight packed onto one side of the table.
She explained: “It was a sturdy antique table that my aunt has had for forever. The legs snapped off in the back.
“Regardless of the value, there was so much that broke it was just devastating.
“We are an Armenian family of about 150 people. We picked whatever we could off the floor. There was enough but most of it was destroyed.”
The video, which was shared online by Kat, has racked up more than 278,000 likes as viewers replay the clip in disbelief and amusement.
Jokes filled the comments section: “The speech was so powerful that even the table couldn’t handle it.”
“The one time I’d believe in the five second rule!” one person wrote.
“Happy Thanksgiving to the ground,” another quipped.
Another social media user called the scene “legitimately sitcom material.”
It comes after many other families were also impacted over Thanksgiving due to travel woes.
A major winter storm hit the Midwest bringing over a foot of snow to some areas which caused airports across the country to ground hundreds of flights.
Around 1,445 flights have been grounded so far, according to data shared by FlightAware.com.
Meanwhile, the number of total delays exceeds 12,500 with Chicago O’Hare International being the worst affected.
Over 300 flights scheduled to depart the airport have been canceled, and 159 delayed.
Meanwhile, 314 due to arrive there have been grounded and over 170 delayed.
