THIS is the shocking moment a North Korean soldier triggered a landmine, blowing himself up.

The man – sent to Russia to fight for Vladimir Putin – was blown backwards by the violent blast.

In terrifying video footage, the soldier, deployed to the war zone by Kim Jong-un, can be seen sledging through the countryside with fellow fighters, when the explosion happened.

Captioned “The [North] Koreans are putting on a show … ***king brilliant”, the video shows the soldiers sliding down a snowy forest path.

The sudden blast took the men by surprise, with a Russian soldier heard shouting in the background.

He swore in shock, as the explosion caused a bright, white light, with smoke billowing around the North Korean man.

The video does not show whether or not the man survived the blast.

An estimated 4,700 North Korean soldiers have perished or been wounded in their support of Russian troops, as the communist tyrant continues to lend support to Putin.

Tens of thousands of troops have been deployed to fight in the Russia-Ukraine war, tasked with duties including mine clearance in the Kursk region of Russia, which was occupied by Ukrainian forces earlier in the battle.

This explosion comes as the son of Vladimir Putin’s chief wardog has been left “hardly recognisable” following a high-speed car crash, according to reports.

Adam Kadyrov – the 18-year-old son of Chechen leader Ramzan – was airlifted to a Moscow hospital, following the horror smash in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya.

One report claimed the 18-year-old had been moved by emergency medical helicopter to the rooftop of the Botkin Hospital, amid rumours he had been personally targeted.

Adam is the chosen successor of his father – Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, 49 – who is believed to be terminally ill.

Ramzan has been attempting to manoeuvre Putin to accept Adam – one of his 15 children by three polygamous wives – as his successor to rule mountainous Chechnya, despite his young age.

Rivalling for the top position is 45-year-old Magomed Daudov, head of the Chechen parliament.

A report from Chechen opposition Telegram channel NIYSO in October last year predicted a car crash would kill Adam, leaving the power to be secured by Daudov if Ramzan died or was incapacitated.

“For example, an ‘accidental’ road traffic accident involving Adam, in which the long-awaited successor would tragically die, would significantly simplify the issue of transferring the chair,” the report read.

“Daudov does not even need to make an effort.”

The channel suggested that the scenario could be engineered by Putin’s feared FSB security service.

Speculation over Ramzan’s health has been rife since New Year’s Day, when he was hospitalised.
