THIS is the jaw-dropping moment a teen catches on fire after jumping a red light while driving an illegal dirt bike.
Footage shows the teen blowing through a red light and smacking straight into the side of a turning car before it exploded.
The side of the car, the dirt bike and the teen immediately caught fire after the terrifying impact.
It appears the teen managed to strike the shiny new motor exactly where the petrol cap is located and the aftermath looked deadly.
The teen’s pal instantly dashes over to him and helps to smother the growing fire as he rolls around the intersection in Salinas, California.
Police have identified the two teens as being 15 and 16 years-old.
They said the teens ran a red light at the Target shopping centre intersection on Harden Ranch Road with the 16-year-old briefly catching on fire.
He surprisingly walked away with a slight limp and a broken ankle but he is expected to recover.
Shocked onlookers could be seen getting out of their cars as they realised the horror accident unfolding before them.
The troublesome pair were cited by police for traffic violations and later released to their parents.
After the incident on October 30, a GoFundMe page was set-up for the woman driving the black car.
Her sister Vanessa Vargas said on the post: “My sister Brianna Vargas was suddenly struck by a dirt bike in Salinas,CA at the intersection of N Main and Harden.
“The crash left her injured, and the impact caused her car and all of her belongings inside to catch fire and burn completely. She had recently purchased the car less than a week ago, depleting all her savings—every dollar she had diligently earned.”
Snaps of the car show the mangled wreck with the interior burnt, covered in ash and parts of it hanging on for dear life.
Brianna was taken to hospital and later discharged with muscle aches, spasms and temporary pain.
The page has been set-up to fund medical and recovery expenses, replacement of personal items, a new motor and basic living necessities.
It has over $1,200 raised so far and the page was set up just a few weeks ago.
This comes as Railson Souza, 48, hurtled through the air and smashed through metal railings, before ending up trapped in the butchered wreck.
Firefighters had to free the security worker from his upturned vehicle, and an ambulance promptly rushed him to hospital.
Amazingly, scans and X-rays showed not a single broken bone.
Railson walked away unscathed only hours later.
Ralison said:“I’ve got a little scratch on one hand only, and nothing else.”
The crash, occurred in the Jardim Apura area of São Paulo, Brazil.
