WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Several school districts across the DMV will be closed on Monday, Jan. 6, as a winter storm is expected to hit the region overnight.
DC metro areas could see roughly 6-8 inches of snow, according to forecasts.
As a result, the following schools will be closed to students on Monday:
Virginia
Public schools:
- Fairfax County Public Schools
- Alexandria City Public Schools
- Arlington County Public Schools
- Culpeper County Public Schools: Students will not return to school until Wednesday, Jan. 8, as Tuesday has been designated a “staff workday.”
- Falls Church City Public Schools
- Fauquier County Public Schools
- Fredericksburg City Public Schools: Students will not return to school until Wednesday, Jan. 8, as Tuesday has been designated a “staff workday.”
- Spotsylvania County Public Schools
- Stafford County Public Schools
- Rappahannock County Public Schools

- Prince William County Public Schools
