As part of his comments about Hispanic Heritage Month this September, U.S. Sen. Rick Scott from Florida criticized Democrat policies, saying that some of the political party’s most prominent leaders have emboldened communist dictators in the Latin American region.
Scott specifically said that President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and his own Democratic opponent Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in Florida “have done nothing but embolden dictators like (Nicolás) Maduro, (Miguel) Díaz-Canel and (Daniel) Ortega.”
Scott celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month at an event with leaders of Hispanic coalitions in Florida, who reaffirmed their support for the Republican senator ahead of his re-election in the November elections.
