EXCLUSIVE: Sebastian Chacon, the Daisy Jones & The Six actor who had a sexual assault complaint filed against him in November 2023, has had his case “discontinued with prejudice and without costs,” according to documents reviewed by Deadline.
The Supreme Court of the State of New York determined that Chacon’s case is closed and cannot be reopened in December 2025. This came following a ruling in April, whereby the case was dismissed without prejudice, after the three unnamed female plaintiffs failed to appear in court. In a statement to Deadline on the December ruling, Chacon said, “This was a tremendously painful and costly experience that upended my life and my family’s. There was never any criminal case, I never admitted to any wrongdoing, and the matter is now permanently closed. Living through this made me realize how damaging the civil process can be, and my heart goes out to anyone navigating a situation like this. I’m focused on moving forward and rebuilding my life and work.”
Sex assault accusations against Chacon first emerged in November 2023 when three women filed a civil suit in New York under the Adult Survivors Act. Once they did, the actor was promptly dropped by his agency, Paradigm, as well as by Red Dirt, an indie film from director Crash Buist on whch we had reported.
Best known for his role of drummer Warren Rojas in the hit Amazon series Daisy Jones & The Six, Chacon’s other credits include Amazon’s thriller Emergency, Showtime’s Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, and A24’s Y2K, to name a few. He is represented by Robert Stein Management.
