A man was arrested after a road rage incident led to the discovery of a stolen motorcycle and a cache of firearms.
The Palmdale Sheriff’s Station was investigating reports that a man had pointed a handgun at a female victim during an alleged road rage incident.
On Tuesday morning, deputies served a search warrant at the suspect’s home on the 37500 block of Sparrow Drive in Palmdale.
During the search, deputies discovered numerous firearms including assault weapons with modified accessories, high-capacity magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, body armor and narcotics. They also found a stolen Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
While searching the suspect’s vehicle, the firearm believed to have been used in the road rage incident was located. Deputies also found a homemade explosive device or “Pipe Bomb.”
The L.A. County Sheriff’s Arson Explosives Detail responded to the scene and rendered the device safe before its removal. Evidence that the suspect had been manufacturing firearms and parts was also recovered.
The male suspect and a female he identified as his girlfriend, were both arrested at the home and charged with numerous felony weapons violations as they were both legally prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.
The man was also charged with possession of stolen property and possession of an explosive device.
