A Montgomery County Circuit Court judge has sentenced “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Karen Huger to two years behind bars, with one year suspended, stemming from a DUI incident.
The “Grand Dame of Potomac” was also ordered to pay $2,900 in fines, not drive for a year after she’s released and five years probation upon release with an interlock device – a car breathalyzer.
Following the court appearance, she was expected to be taken to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, according to WJLA.

In March 2024, Huger crashed her car in an affluent neighborhood of Potomac, Maryland. Police body camera footage obtained by Fox 5 showed the reality star refusing to give police her license as she was visibly intoxicated. She also admitted to having beers and that she was run off the road by another vehicle.
Months later in December, she was found guilty of driving under the influence, negligent driving, failure to control speed to avoid a collision and failure to notify of a change in address. She was acquitted of reckless driving.
The New York Times reports that Huger has had three previous alcohol-related offenses. Prior to the 2024 incident, she was convicted of driver under the inflience of alcohol in 2011 in Maryland.
The entrepreneur and television personality is an original castmember of the Bravo reality series, which premiered in 2016. From there she even starred in her own spinoff in 2022 called “Karen’s Grand Dame Reunion,” which was a two-part special.
It’s not known if Huger’s sentencing will affect her position on “The Real Housewives of Potomac.”
