Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is marking its “golden” 28th birthday on Wednesday Aug. 28 with a golden giveaway.
The chain was founded by Todd Graves on Aug. 28, 1996 in Baton Rouge, La. He named the chain for his Labrador.
On Wednesday, fast food chain will activate a website, raisingcanesbirthday.com, where people can enter to win 828 prizes worth more than $100,000, according to a news release.
They include a golden ticket to visit Baton Rouge and meet Graves; gold coins, bars and nuggets weighing 1 to 10 ounces; golden necklaces; and golden Vans shoes.
The company is also pledging to donate $28 million to local communities in the coming year. Organizations interested in a partnership can visit raisingcanes.com/community-partnerships for details.
Like In-N-Out Burger, which inspired Graves, Raising Cane’s serves a short menu, mainly chicken fingers, sides and drinks.
