GAITHERSBURG, Md. (DC News Now) — Officials said that a Gaithersburg Sam’s Club had to remove a raccoon from its store early Friday morning.
Gaithersburg Animal Services responded to the Sam’s Club at 610 N. Frederick Ave. for a reported loose animal around 6:40 a.m.
The responding official determined that there was a raccoon in the bakery area but was not able to find the raccoon.
That official gave Sam’s Club representatives “best practices to properly capture” the raccoon before leaving.
In a statement to DC News Now, a Sam’s Club spokesperson said that the “incident has been resolved and the club is now open for business.”
