WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Now that the cherry blossoms along the Tidal Basin have reached their peak bloom, you may be wondering: is Fido invited?
Here are the pup-friendly events that your four-legged friends can attend:
National Cherry Blossom Festival
The festival, which runs until April 13, allows pets to join your trek around the Tidal Basin, as long as they’re leashed.
All dogs are invited if they are well-behaved and can be comfortable in crowded and noisy environments.
Owners need to pick up after them and keep them close as other people, kids and dogs pass by.
Petalpalooza
Everyone, Fido included, is welcome to romp along the Anacostia River for Petalpalooza on Saturday, April 5 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The day will include artsy activities, live music, a fireworks show and more.
Pet comfort stations will also be available.
Paws and Petals Yappy Hour
In collaboration with the National Cherry Blossom Festival, metrobar in Northeast D.C. is throwing a Paws and Petal Yappy Hour on Sunday, April 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Doggie Beer, puppuccinos, treats, toys, and belly rubs will included in the Yappy Hour!
