In a bit of good news for diners in West Hollywood, one well-loved restaurant along the Sunset Strip will remain open as other establishments shut down.
Le Petit Four originally announced that they would be ceasing operations on Mar. 21. Their scheduled last day was Monday.
However, due to an outpouring of public support, that decision to close the longstanding restaurant, a community staple since 1981, has now been reversed.
“We are overjoyed to share that Le Petit Four will remain open thanks to the overwhelming love and support from our incredible patrons from across Los Angeles,” the restaurant said on social media. “Just one day before we were set to close, everything changed – you showed up in ways we could have never imagined.”
Le Petit Four’s story is a glimmer of hope for struggling businesses along the famed Sunset Strip; multiple restaurants and a liquor store announced last month that they would cease operations by the end of March.
Those businesses are The Den on Sunset, Rock and Reilly’s WeHo location, Hudson House and Sunset Strip Liquor Store.
