POSTIES have more affairs with customers than any other profession, a survey shows.
More than one in five confessed to playing around, putting them above tradespeople and delivery drivers — and even bin collectors in tenth place.
One postman said he had affairs with three women he met on the job.
The 45-year-old said: “Sometimes someone just fancies a bit on the side.”
The UK has 160,000 postal workers, with a further 20,000 temps over the Christmas period.
Posties were also in first place last year in the survey for married dating site Illicit Encounters.
But the proportion having flings has risen from 19 per cent to 21 per cent.
A spokeswoman for the website said: “When you see someone regularly, even for a few minutes, it can create a rhythm of familiarity that can be surprisingly intimate.
“Let’s face it, if anyone is going to know who’s home, when they’re free, and who enjoys a chat, it’s the postie.”
