FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Police in Fairfax County are investigating a domestic incident at a home that turned deadly on Friday.
In a post on X, the Fairfax County Police Department said officers were on the scene of a domestic-related shooting in the 13000 block of Pennypacker Lane in Chantilly.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a woman dead inside the home.
Police said a man was taken into custody.
As of 7 a.m. on Friday, detectives remained at the home and were working to learn what led up to the shooting.
The connection between the victim and the suspect is currently unknown.
