Two women were found shot to death and a third critically injured in a South Shore neighborhood alley early Tuesday, according to Chicago police.
The women were all found around 4:50 a.m. in the alley of the 7700 block of South Oglesby, police said. The three victims are believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, but their identities were not released Tuesday morning.
Police said two of the women were shot in the head and they were pronounced dead at the scene. The third woman was shot in the face and chest, and she was taken to UChicago Medicine in critical condition, according to CPD.
A few hours after the women were discovered, about a dozen CPD detectives and other police personnel could be seen canvassing the area near the alley’s southern mouth between Oglesby and Crandon avenues.
Additional details were not immediately available.
This is a developing story.
