Police are investigating a fatal shooting in East Baltimore that occurred early Sunday morning.
Around 12 a.m., Baltimore Police responded to the 800 block of Bonaparte Avenue in the East Baltimore Midway neighborhood for the report of a shooting, according to a news release from the police department.
When officers arrived, they located an unresponsive 38-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene by responding medics, the release says.
The medical examiner’s office is conducting an autopsy as homicide detectives continue an investigation.
