TAKOMA PARK, Md. (DC News Now) — An interesting sign popped up along the Sligo Creek Trail in Takoma Park, warning of a reptilian predator.
The Maryland-National Capital Park Police said it has received reports of a sign that was posted warning people to stay away from the water and not to disturb the alligators.
Police said the sign was not posted by Montgomery Parks or Maryland’s Department of Natural Resources.
The sign looks to be some kind of prank as alligators are not native to Maryland and there have not been any reported sightings, according to police.
