PHOTOS: Dump truck spills gravel onto roadway after 2-vehicle crash in Montgomery County

[ad_1] MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) -- A dump truck flipped on its side during a two-vehicle crash in Montgomery County on Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said that at around 1 p.m., a crash involving a dump truck and a Ford van happened on Interstate 495 before the American Legion Bridge near Clara Barton Parkway.

The dump truck flipped onto its side, leaving a trail of debris and gravel on the roadway.

Some lanes were blocked as a result.

According to Pete Piringer with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Maryland State Police told DC News Now that the crash is being investigated.
