Phoebe Gates is feeling 22!
Phoebe, the youngest child of Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates, got into the party spirit a day before her actual birthday on Saturday, Sept. 14.
A series of photos shared on her Instagram Story documented a sweet celebration thrown by the team at Phia, the forthcoming digital fashion platform co-founded by the Stanford graduate and her former roommate Sophia Kianni.
In the images, Phoebe raised a glass and blew out the candles on a special blue cake. “Thank you @phiaco,” she wrote alongside one party photo. “Best team.”
Phoebe’s mother also celebrated her daughter’s special day with a post on Instagram, in which she shared two images — one of her kissing her child as a baby and another of her doing the same years later.
“From then to now, I couldn’t love you more, Phoebe 💞 Happy 22nd birthday!” French Gates, 60, wrote in her caption.
Of course, there’s been plenty to celebrate for Phoebe as of late.
In June, she graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science in human biology — and got to watch her mom deliver the commencement speech.

“I can’t think of a better ending!” she told Nylon, adding that she was “so grateful to have my parents by my side on this day.”
An outspoken champion of women’s health and reproductive freedom, Phoebe recently told The Wall Street Journal she plans to give millions to abortion rights groups this year — a decision that was influenced by her mom, who announced her own $1 billion pledge to support women’s rights in the United States this May.
Phoebe recalled that in the aftermath of her outrage that Roe v. Wade had been overturned by the Supreme Court, French Gates asked her, “What are you going to do about it?”

In addition to funding groups that help women in need, Phoebe told the outlet that she has been working with activists in order to make the most informed decisions.
“There’s a tangible chance to make a change here,” she said.
Phoebe will soon be a part of her dad’s new Netflix docuseries, What’s Next? The Future with Bill Gates, which premieres on Sept. 18.
During an interview with PEOPLE about the show, Bill reflected on how his daughter is very active on social media, using her platform to say, “‘Hey, I’m going to go promote the causes I believe in. I’m going to promote this company that I’m building.’ ”
“She is really there,” he said, adding that “It’s fun to see her energy.”
