PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Homicide detectives are searching for two people who were allegedly involved in a deadly shooting at a tire shop in Capitol Heights over the weekend.
The Prince George’s County Police (PGPD) said around 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 14, officers were called to the 1200 block of Marblewood Avenue to complete a welfare check.
When officers arrived at the shop, they found 41-year-old Anthony Okoye, of Bladensburg, who had been shot.
PGPD said he was taken to the hospital, where he died.
As the investigation developed, detectives learned that the shooting happened inside the shop and Okoye was an employee there.
Police said the suspects, shown in the picture below, were seen driving away from the area in a dark-colored Mercedes.
