Pro Football Focus ranks new Spartans wide receiver Chrishon McCray as best transfer in his position this cycle
Michigan State football landed the top transfer wide receiver this year, according to Pro Football Focus.
Pro Football Focus released a list of their “highest graded transfer wide receivers this off season” and Spartan newcomer Chrishon McCray was at the top of the rankings. He has a score of 84.8, which was the highest of any transfer wide receiver this off season.
McCray transferred to Michigan State from Kent State in mid-December as an early Christmas present for Jonathan Smith and his team. McCray was an All-Mid-American Conference selection while with the Golden Flashes and recorded 40 receptions for 705 yards and nine touchdowns this past season.
McCray joins a relatively loaded Michigan State wide receiving core that will be led by Nick Marsh. The Spartans also added Middle Tennessee State transfer Omari Kelly via the portal this off season, which is another guy Michigan State should see big things from in 2025.
