LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – A 58-year-old man was killed during a collision with a motorcyclist over the weekend in Orange County, officials announced.
The Feb. 1 incident, according to a social media post by the Santa Ana Police Department, occurred just after 7 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Euclid Street.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian, now identified as Hoang Mai Phan, a resident of Garden Grove, was walking eastbound “through Euclid St. When he was struck by a motorcycle traveling southbound,” investigators said.

Both police and medical personnel with the Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene where the 58-year-old received treatment before succumbing to his injuries and being declared deceased.
Authorities said the motorcyclist, who remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, though an investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
