The California Department of Transportation will implement overnight lane closures along Interstate 405 through the Sepulveda Pass starting June 23, as part of a pavement rehabilitation project.
The closures will take place nightly from approximately 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Saturday, June 28. Caltrans crews will be installing k-rail barriers to support ongoing construction aimed at improving safety and extending the life of the roadway.
From Monday, June 23, through Friday, June 27, one lane will be closed in each direction:
- Northbound I-405 between Wilshire Boulevard and Mulholland Drive/Skirball Center Drive
- Southbound I-405 between Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive and Wilshire Boulevard
On Saturday, June 28, one northbound lane will be closed between Wilshire Boulevard and Mulholland Drive/Skirball Center Drive.
The closures are part of the $143.7 million I-405 Pavement Rehabilitation Project, which spans 10.2 miles between Van Nuys and Westwood.
