Five people were arrested, and millions of dollars worth of illegal cannabis was found at an Orange County warehouse near Angel Stadium, officials announced Tuesday.

Law enforcement officers busted the unlicensed cannabis operation on April 16, which, according to the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC), was linked to organized crime and posed “significant risks to public safety.”

While details on the raid itself remain limited, DCC said that officers seized over $2.7 million worth of weed from the illegal indoor cultivation and manufacturing service.

This includes about 1,788 pounds of cannabis plants, 413 pounds of flower and 98.76 pounds of concentrate.

Officials did not immediately identify the five suspects arrested during the raid, which happened just a few hundred yards from the baseball stadium. Anaheim police assisted in this operation.

“Thanks to the diligent work of our officers and partner agencies, this extensive operation has been shut down,” a statement from Nicole Elliott, DCC director, read in part. “The Anaheim Police Department stepped up to the plate for this operation and we value their partnership in protecting the public and reducing the size of the illicit market.”

For community safety, officials also noted they red-tagged the site and disconnected the electricity.
