AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Sharina S. Junior, 42, Chicago, is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Bridgeview Nov. 8, charged with aggravated assault for allegedly threatening employees Oct. 9 with a knife at Best Buy, 7600 Cicero Ave., police said.
ARMED CRIMINAL: Mario S. Jones, 44, 8400 block of Cicero Avenue, Burbank, is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Bridgeview Nov. 4, charged with being an armed habitual criminal and with manufacturing/delivering 15-100 grams of cocaine, according to a Cook County spokesperson. Jones was arrested Oct. 8 after officers, conducting a search of his room at motel on Cicero Avenue recovered 19 grams of suspected “crack,” a 9 mm handgun an d loaded magazine, $817 cash, a digital scale, baby powder, a razor blade and clear plastic sandwich bags, police said.
Evergreen Park
BATTERY: Kemale R. Nelson, 35, Chicago, was arrested and accused of battery Oct. 15 at a fast-food restaurant in the 8700 block of Kedzie Avenue after witnesses said he approached a male awaiting his coffee order, punched him in the face, stomped his chest when he fell to the floor and then fled, police said. The victim stated he had never previously seen or spoken to Nelson, police said.
BURGLARY: Early morning Oct. 16 security video at Cigars & Vapes, 8730 Kedzie Ave., shows two males enter and fill bags with merchandise, police said. Officers found the entry door glass shattered and tobacco products scattered across the floor, police said.
Homewood
BATTERY: Kyle Smith, 37, 2700 block of Debra Lane, Homewood, was arrested Oct. 7 in that block and accused of battery after pushing an officer attempting to prevent him from interfering with firefighter/paramedics aiding a victim, police said.
Lansing
THEFT: A cashier at Walmart, 17625 Torrence Ave., was arrested Sept. 22 and accused of stealing $9,000, police said. The juvenile cashier wasn’t named.
Lockport
EMERGENCY PRANK: A Worth woman was arrested Wednesday in the 14200 block of Highland Ridge Circle and accused of giving a false fire alarm, aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest, police said. Pandora H. Doolan, 19, 7200 block of 107th Street, activated a fire alarm as a prank, pulled away from arresting officers and kicked an officer twice in the leg, police said.
Mokena
ATTEMPTED DISARMAMENT: A Tinley Park man was arrested Oct. 18 on a warrant charging him with attempting to disarm a police officer, attempted robbery and battery, according to Will County records online. Jalal N. Ibrahim, 44, 16600 block of Henry Lane, tried to pull an officer’s side arm from its holster Sept. 2 in the 11600 block of Kluth Court after fighting with a man whose bike he wanted to take, police said.
Oak Lawn
NITROUS OXIDE: Daniel J. Morris Jr., 21, Alexander Place, Oak Lawn, and Isaiah S. Castro, 21, Nashville Avenue, Chicago Ridge, are scheduled to appear Nov. 26 in Cook County court at Bridgeview, charged with unlawful possession of nitrous oxide, police said. The two were arrested Oct. 10 in the 8700 block of Cicero Avenue after officers determined they had six cannisters of the gas, also known as laughing gas, police said.
BURNED CAR: Police say someone accessed the trunk and emptied the console of its contents in a car set on fire early Oct. 13 in the 5000 block of Columbus Drive. Officers and fire investigators arrived to find the vehicle engulfed in flames with a smashed side window, open rear side door and gas cap off, police said.
HOME INVASION: Stephanie S. Aube, 38, of 78th Avenue, Bridgeview, is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Bridgeview Nov. 1, charged with home invasion/causing injury, according to a court spokesperson. Aube was arrested Oct. 13 after forcing her way through the front door of a residence on Cicero Avenue and then punching and kicking two residents, police said.
Orland Park
DRUNKEN DRIVING: Maximas J. Galba, 23, 13400 block of Old Orchard Lane, Lockport, was arrested Oct. 8 in the 9700 block of Crescent Park Circle and accused of drunken driving, driving on the wrong side of the road and failing to produce proof of insurance, police said.
Palos Heights
IDENTITY THEFT: Police say a Chicago Heights man used the identity of a resident and used it to withdraw at least $10,000 in September from the individual’s Old National Bank account. Investigators placed Jason Siegert, 55, first block of Arquilla Drive, Chicago Heights, at the branch at the time of the transaction based on his phone records and bank security video that matched his driver’s license photo, police said. Siegert is charged with aggravated identity theft, according to a Cook County court spokesperson.
Palos Hills
BURGLARY: Security cameras viewed Oct. 21 at Maple Lake Wine and Spirits, 8801 95th St., show four individuals arriving in a SUV, entering through the front window one of them smashed, grabbing bottles of liquor with a value later estimated at more than $16,000 and departing in the SUV, police said.
Park Forest
BATTERY: Daniel C. Cantave, 32, first block of Woodland Glen, Park Forest, was arrested Sept. 30 on Wilson Street and accused of punching a teen in the face in the first block of South Orchard Drive and then walking to Central Park, where he punched a 67-year-old individual in the face, police said. Cantave is charged with one count of battery and three counts of aggravated battery to an individual who is 60 or older, police said.
CANNABIS: Victor T. Trout Jr., 28, 3600 block of 213th Street, Matteson, was arrested and accused of possession with intent to deliver after officers recovered nearly 7 ounces of cannabis and $1,811 cash Oct. 2 on 26th Street near Birch Street, police said.
CHILD BITTEN: A 4-year-old child was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in Hyde Park for specialized treatment after a doctor at Franciscan Medical Center in Olympia Field said she needed special care for the two severe dog bite marks on her arm, police said. The pre-schooler was at a baby sitter’s home Oct. 12 in the 300 block of Indiana Street when a pit bull belonging to Anthony L. Smith, 22, exited his bedroom and attacked her, police said. Police said Smith was cited for the dog bites and for keeping a fierce dog.
