NIGEL Farage’s Reform UK has received a record-breaking £9 million from an ex-Tory donor.
Party coffers swelled by businessman and cryptocurrency investor Christopher Harborne.
It marks the biggest single donation in history from a living person.
Parties are now building their war chests ahead of elections in England, Scotland and Wales next year.
The party has been on a huge fundraising drive in recent months led by senior figure Nick Candy.
The huge sum means Reform have now received donations totalling £10.3 million for the third quarter of the year.
It compares to the Tories who raised £4.5 million with Labour trailing on just £1.9 million, the Electoral Commission revealed.
The cash donation comes as speculation has mounted that an electoral pact will be made between Reform and the Tories.
Reform leader Nigel Farage has dismissed reports that a deal will be done between the parties.
Thailand-based businessman Harborne, 62, has previously donated to the Conservative Party.
He has also given big donations to the Brexit Party totalling £6 million.
He gave one donation of £3 million before handing the party £3 million on the eve of the 2019 election.
Following Boris Johnson‘s departure from Downing Street, he gave the Office of Boris Johnson £1 million.
Data from the Electoral Commission revealed all parties raised £24 million in the third quarter of this year.
