There’s been an egregious exploitation of an NFL rule designed to protect quarterbacks the past couple of seasons.
And the culprits exploiting the rule are the very people the rule is designed to protect: the quarterbacks.
It’s often an infuriating injustice.
And the NFL needs to do something to stop it immediately — and it appears it’s leaning toward doing so — because these quarterback flops and rope-a-dopes that are duping officials almost weekly can cost teams games. That messes with the integrity of the sport.
