A PROBE into the deaths of “angelic” twins and a toddler continues after police revealed they had prior contact with the family.
Piotr Swiderski is feared to have killed his three children and then himself at their family home in Surrey.
Cops found all four dead at around 1.15pm on Saturday inside a house on Bremer Road, Staines.
The force has now confirmed they had previous contact with the family and has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
The IOPC said it would investigate the information provided by police before deciding if further action is required.
It is understood social services had had no involvement prior to the horror, as reported by the BBC.
Police said on Sunday the incident is isolated and they are not looking for anyone else, sparking fears that tyre-fitter Piotr, believed to be a Polish national, killed his own children.
The eldest boy is understood to have been three, while his younger brothers were two-year-old twins.
A heartbroken neighbour described the tots as “angelic”.
The 55-year-old added: “The kids were always laughing and happy.”
Fellow neighbour Mike Cresswell, 68, said of Piotr: “He seemed like a lovely guy but you couldn’t get to speak to him because he was always so stressed.
“They were a beautiful family.
“The kids were well loved and well looked after.”
The boys’ mum has been supported by specialist officers.
