An MTA worker is facing charges for slashing a man who had been sleeping on a bench inside a Brooklyn subway station early Monday, police sources said.
The victim, a 47-year-old man, was cut near his left eye on the platform for the outbound D and R trains at the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center station about 1:45 a.m. Monday, cops said.
Medics took the victim to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
The worker was arrested with charges against him pending.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the slashing. The MTA worker was pouring bleach when an argument erupted with the victim, police sources told PIX11.
